Sometimes students get too busy with their homework, projects and tests that they seem to forget the world outside of their school life.
It is surprising that only few students know today’s headline news. It’s on the radio, newspaper, TV and internet, but not a lot of the students seems to bother to look at it.
It’s one’s own choice to not look at the news, but in my opinion, it is important that one keeps himself/herself updated. This is because our contemporary world is changing so fast that you will fall behind everyone and be stuck in the old time.
Probably many students will argue that they have no time to watch the news. Well, watching the whole hour of news or reading the whole newspaper would certainly take too much time. However, you don’t have to do this to keep yourself updated. Reading or watching just the headline news for five minutes will still be helpful.
So why don’t you look around what is happening around the world these days? Five minutes per day will make a difference in your life.
